WHAT IS 'THE POETS' DICTIONARY'?

The Poets' Dictionary is our exciting Poetry Open Mic night held on the Last Sunday of each month. With an interactive twist on typical Poetry nights we provide a platform for Poets to direct the narrative and Define themselves.

 

Have you ever wanted to ask a Poet a question but been unsure of how to approach? If so The Poets’ Dictionary is for you! We engage the crowd - Bridging the gap between Poet and Audience.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "DEFINING" AND "FEATURE" ACTS?

Our Defining and Feature Acts each share a 15 minute Feature set at The Poets' Dictionary.  Following set, Defining Acts then participate in an audience lead interactive Q&A session

 

This session provides an opportunity for Poets' to further "Define" themselves as an Artist, discussing their art and any personal passions/experiences.

CAN I DEFINE/FEATURE AT THE POETS' DICTIONARY?

At PoetClopedia we're always on the look out for Poets to perform at The Poets Dictionary. Fill out our Artist submission form and get #BOOKmarkED.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR THE OPEN MIC?

We have a first come first serve open mic register available on the door from 6pm. -With 15 slots available each night attendees can sign up with an Early Bird/Standard Ticket or OTD entry.

We also offer a limited number of complimentary Pre-booked Open Mic slots available via eventbrite. Grab them whilst you can to guarantee your performance slot.

WHAT IS A PRE-BOOKED OPEN MIC SLOT?

Our limited Pre-booked Open Mic tickets guarantee your performance slot and put you at the top of our Open Mic Register.

-To confirm your Pre-booked slot you must arrive by 6:45pm to check in.

We also have a first come, first serve Open Mic register on the door from 6pm with an additional 15 slots available.

HOW LONG ARE OPEN MIC SLOTS?

Open Mic slots are a maximum of 3 minutes per Poet.

We would like to showcase as many Poets as possible and encourage performing Poets to share one piece.

I WANT TO OPEN MIC, BUT EVENTBRITE SAYS PRE-BOOKED OPEN MIC TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT.

No worries. We also have a first come, first serve register on the door which is open to all attendees from 6pm.

 

With an additional 15 slots available on the door each night, attendees can sign up with an Early Bird/Standard Ticket or OTD entry. We do have a high level of interest and suggest arriving for 6pm to avoid disappointment.

#PoetClopediaPages is a movement created to showcase the Poetic words of Female & Non-Binary writers of Colour.

Whilst we share the works of all Women and Non-Binary Poets; we have a focussed interest in showcasing the writings of Women and Non-Binary People of Colour & Minority ethnicities.
